Martinez said it's as much work if not more to do choreography, but completely enjoyable. The cast is great, very young and fun.

The 1985 production was also directed by Krinke.

According to Krinke, 'The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas" celebrates the notorious Chicken Ranch, known as one of the better pleasure palaces in Texas, and what happens when a Puritan reporter decides the county should shut it down.

'The production is really fun, Liz is amazing, and this is a really kind, hard working cast," said Krinke.

FC student Lisa Rohr will play Angel. "It's been really fast paced. It's been really exciting," said Rohr.

'The cast has been really nice. You'd think in a cast of 50 something there would be lots of personality conflicts, but we've learned to be tolerant of each other's feelings," Rohr added.

"Everyone should come to this show because it's a production for all those girls who say 'my boyfriend doesn't like musical theater' because believe me, he will enjoy this show," said FC student Lavelle Wilson who plays a Texas Aggie football player.

The musical is based on a famous defunct brothel in La Grange Texas known as the Chicken Ranch.

It was known as the Chicken Ranch because in the beginning, it accepted poultry as payment.

The brothel was dosed in July, 1973 when a television newsman, Martin Zindler, decided to expose the "boarding house", and get rid of the "cancerous growth" as he called it.

In the musical Zindler is portrayed as crusading reporter Melvin P. Thorpe.
