ROOSTING EXPERIANCE-Theatre-goers enjoy authentic food that adds to the ambiance surrounding the FC show "Roosters."

The Spanish cast of "Roosters" succeeded in dramatizing the powerful relationship of the Morales family. A story that is culturally important to anyone living in the Southwest regardless of color or creed. The Spanish version displayed.how Latino Americans straddle both their.languages and culture.

The quality of the acting and the emotion of the play was, able to move the audience to tears. Jamie Alvarez as the arrogant father and Abraham Polanco, the caring and responsible son, worked well together making their relationship believable and genuine. The same can be said about the cast as a whole. The chemistry was evident and well executed.

Michelle Vidal and Laura Lopez, in separate scenes, conveyed the emotion of their prospective scene to the point of tears. The supporting role of Adan, a family friend, played authentically and enthusiastically by Hugo Mireles, was a delight and much recognized by the audience.

Director Robert Jensen and assistant director Louisa Novelo's Spanish rendition of "Roosters" was mystical and passionate. The set design by Ernie Avila, transported you to the rural Southwest.

Between the Spanish performances, a reception was held which consisted of dinner serenaded by Flamenco guitarist, a display of Latin American books and artwork. The crisp night air, art, and ambiance made for a magical evening that flowed well from the stage to the reception.
