Fullerton College Hornet  - Amanda Glover - Wednesday, November 3rd, 1999

Love Letters' will cause the .crowd to swoon with its heartfelt scenes directed by Chuck Ketter, Chairman of Fullerton College's Theatre Arts Department. The show begins November 3 in the Brownyn Dodson Theatre.

The story is about two lifelong friends whose relationship evolves before the audience, as separation brings them together through pages of detailed letters.

Their notes reveal the inner thoughts, dreams and emotions racing through both of their minds during a life-time of tribulations and accomplishments.

"This play is about love, obviously," Ketter explains. "It's about friendship love and 'romantic love, but most importantly, it's about unconditional love."

Ketter himself has been a full-time faculty member at FCTA for nearly six years, and he currently teaches advanced acting.

Ketter also serves as the department's technical director and designer for shows in campus. He has been a professional scene designer for over 20 years.

To approach this production differently then past endeavors, Ketter. uses six different casts. The parts are acted out by a different male and female faculty members each night of the performance.

Andy is a dedicated lawyer and Melissa is a giddy, insecure woman who detects the underlying messages given in letters received from Andy.

ill wanted to bring this lovely story to life using the talented members of our Theatre faculty," said Ketter.

"This is a chance for the students and the community to see what these wonderful artists can do outside of the classroom!"
