Final Play Performances To Be Held This Weekend

"All portions have worked from original design," stated drama instructor George L. Stoughton, production director for "The Enchanted Tower."

"The Enchanted Tower" is the second children's presentation of the season. Final showings for the play will be Friday, May 8, with showings at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, May 9, presentations will be at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. Last showings will be on Sunday, May 10, at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Script for the play was especially written for FJC's drama department by Robert W. Thompson, a future FJC instructor, teaching at Buena Park High School presently. The play is an adaptation of the children's fairy tale, Sleeping Beauty.

Students from the theater crafts classes constructed all scenes, designs and costumes for the play.

Chuck Kading's set designs were chosen for the presentation. Costume styles were created by Kathy Sellers, Mary Knaus, Trina Portillo, Sandy Mann, and Woody Worley.

Under the student direction of Kathy Sellers, the cast, Dann Adams, Stanley Smith, Mary Knaus, Robert Schildmeyer, Stephanie Alexander, Marlene Schoner, Janice Renshaw, Kathy Silvia, Linda Borne, Jerry Sy, Gail Mitchell, Randy Ellsworth, Rosalie Abrams and Kathy Sellers vividly portrays the children's fantasy.

Mr. Stoughton described the play as "appealing to children, pre-school to 14-year-olds."
