Theatre evokes our compassion, our empathy, and provides an opportunity for marginalized voices to be heard. The Theatre Arts Department at Fullerton College stands in support of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members of color and in solidarity with those who are committed to eradicating racism, hatred, and bigotry in all its forms. We are committed to confronting racism with an anti-racism approach and will work to learn, teach, and apply lessons learned from these events, and the many that have come before, towards a more just and equitable future. In this department, Black Lives Matter, Black voices will be heard and Black stories will be supported. While each of us may choose different ways to support anti-racism, it is urgent that action be taken. Silence is complacent injustice and will only return us to the broken systemically racist practices. Please see the link in the bio for more information and ways you can contribute. Be safe. Be strong. Be the change.
