Acting and Performance Level 2 Certificate

The Acting and Performance Level 2 Certificate builds upon the Level 1 Certificate and is designed for students who seek advanced performance skills in classical, devised, and solo performance as well as business and marketing techniques required by industry professionals to find and secure employment. This certificate requires completion of the Level 1 Certificate (17.5-18.5 units) plus additional advanced courses for Level 2 (17-19 units), for a total of 34.5-37.5 units. At least one half of the units toward the certificate must be completed at Fullerton College with a grade of C or better in each course taken.

Outcome 1: Organize, evaluate, and compose materials for the application and audition process in theatre, film, and television.
Outcome 2: Choose/create, rehearse, and perform material that reflects character interpretation from multiple perspectives for the purpose of culturally responsive storytelling in live and recorded performances.
Outcome 3: Analyze rhetorical and stylistic devices in written scripts from a variety of cultural traditions for the purpose of character interpretation and enhanced performance.
