'Amahl' Set for December 11 at JC Presentation

Demand for tickets to "Amahl and the Night Visitors" has been so great that Mr. Kenneth Helvey, musical director, has announced that seats will be held only until 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11. If ticket holders don't arrive by this time the seats will be given to people who don't have tickets.

"Amahl and the Night Visitors" will be presented by the Fullerton Junior College choirs and the Anaheim Symphony orchestra in performances in Anaheim on Saturday, Dec. 10, and in Fullerton on Sunday, Dec. 11. Tickets were given out free in the Student Center.

The first of three performances will be held at 8:15 p.m. in the Anaheim High School Auditorium on Saturday; followed by a special children's matinee at 4 p.m. in the Fullerton High School auditorium on Sunday afternoon and an evening performance at FUHS at 8:15 p.m.

The choral work is under the direction of Kenneth Helvey, FJC music instructor.

Technical director is George Archambeault, FJC drama instructor. Sets were designed by FJC student Dick Odle.

More than 100 voices, including the full FJC a cappella choir, will participate in the Yuletide concert. ,

Soloists are 11-year old Bill Greager of Long Beach, soprano Betty Olsson as his mother, tenor Jim Rogers, baritone Dudley Frank, as the Three Kings;and Earl Wilson as soloist with the Christmas carol medley.
