Melissa Lyons Caldretti is honored to be a part of the Fullerton College Theatre team, where she teaches private applied voice lessons in the Musical Theatre department. A Fullerton native, she has been teaching voice for 14 years and has worked extensively in concerts and musical theatre throughout the U.S. and Canada. Most notably, Melissa traveled for several years with the Broadway Touring Company of LES MISERABLES and was the final Eponine when the original production closed in 2006. She has recorded numerous voice-overs for Mattel and is the singing voice of Barbie for films, toys, albums and commercials, including the animated features “Barbie as the Island Princess” and “Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper.” Some of her other credits include: Principal soloist for California Philharmonic (Walt Disney Concert Hall); CHICAGO at the Hollywood Bowl (director Brooke Shields); SISTER ACT (Sacramento Music Circus), Shelby in THE SPITFIRE GRILL (Musical Theatre Guild); Bobby/Gabby in CITY OF ANGELS (MTG); Rose in THE SECRET GARDEN (Music Theatre West Reiner Series); Grizabella in CATS (Cabrillo Music Theatre). Melissa holds a Masters in Music, Voice Performance, from CSULB, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music, Voice Performance, from UCLA. She is a proud member of AEA, SAG/AFTRA, and Musical Theatre Guild in Los Angeles.
