About the event
Set in the city of Berlin just before Hitler's rise to power, Cabaret is the story of Sally Bowles, a cabaret performer, and her affair with Cliff, an American writer, who takes her in after she is fired from the Kit Kat Club. Sally and Cliff fall deeply in love, but outside forces jeopardize their relationship. As the chaos in Germany increases, the Emcee of the Kit Kat Club narrates the many stories and themes through his special brand of social commentary on the real world, the make believe, homosexuality, and the ultimate devastation of man's inhumanity to man-the Holocaust. This production of Cabaret is recommended for mature audiences only.
