About the event
Berlin, 1934. Hitler's bloody purges begin with "The Night of the Long Knives", and Max Berber is caught up in the horror of Nazi Germany. After his lover, Rudy, is killed, Max is sent to Dachau concentration camp. Knowing that it is better to be classified as anything other than homosexual, he lies and tells prison officials that he is Jewish. Despite a series of constitution-breaking incidents, Max develops a relationship with fellow prisoner, Horst, who helps him discover his true self. Powerful and provocative, Bent is a monument to the strength of the human spirit.
